La Isla de Pascua !!!
In the plane, everybody in Rotary shirts :D
Britt and Cintia
Jesse and Lars
Alex, Carolyn and Julia
Anselm, Christine and Julie
Yea, we finally arrived at the tiny airport there, which has exactly space for one plane: ours :D
The rest of the airport. It really wasn´t that big ^^
Some group fotos with our Rotary jackets and the beautiful flower necklaces we just received :D
Loading the little truck to bring our luggage to our hotel.
There wasn´t enough space in the little bus so some of us had to ride on top of the luggage in the truck :D
That was the little restaurant in our hotel where we ate.
Yea !! Put enough sun cream or ....
...this happens ^^
And of course we built a nice sand castle like little kids :D
At the next day we went to a very special kind of meal called curanto, which is made by putting big heated stones together with meat in an earth hole and covering it with huge leaves and soil again. Then after a few hours you open the whole thing again and the meat is ready to be eaten :D
With the soil already removed.
The huge leaves.
And there´s the meat !!
That was where we ate the meat with some salads and stuff.
Julie and me
The pascuencian dancers !!
We with two Rapa Nui´s in the red and yellow shirt. The one in the yellow shirt was also one of the dancers.
One first pic of the coast with some Moai´s looking to the Island to protect the Rapa Nui.
All of the girls who went to Easter Island.
One group foto of all of us with the only Moai on the Island who still got eyes.
The only eyed Moai again alone.
Entering a cave.
Me at the wild coast we reached after the cave.
And now with Caro and the chilean flag :D
Ancient pelogryphs of the Rapa Nui
Another great cave !!
Another group of Moai´s with us in the pouring rain !! But who cares :P
A big rock they choped the Moai´s out of where you can find many unfinished Moai´s
What´s that ?? Can you see it ?? :D It´s a fallen Moai.
A nice part of the coast with the large group of Moai´s protecting the island.
A sitting fatter Moai without the typical long face.
An almost finished Moai but still inside the rocks.
Another site where they made Moai´s but didn´t finish them.
A wonderful lake inside the top of one of the plenties volcanos on the island.
That´s a cool Moai. I like him best cause he´s so thin :D
Learning the tradicional Rapa Nui dance. But mainly the girls cause the boys part is quite humpa humpa like xD xD
Drinking with Gabriel.... ...coke :D
Another lil nice cave.
Which flaite is that ?? ;) ;)
The cave again from the top of the rocks.
The wild part of the coast... not that good for swimming :)
Lars, Kim and Gabriel playing at a Rotary meeting.
And later on dancing again... :D
Wave your haaiir !! ^^
And the table football was also quite fun although it wasn´t that good as German quality :D
With the young son of a Rotary Rapa Nui. But ... oh no !! He´s holding the German flag upside down :0 :0 !!
Again with him and his brother ^^
Alex and Anselm doing the "African" ^^ Don´t think I¨m able to do that :0
The wonderful sunset on Isla de Pascua.
