Viaje al Torres del Paine
Another awesome trip is over again :(
We thought it would be the last one but looks like as if we´ll still have another one to Buenos Aires. I really hope that´ll work out !!
First of all of course: the flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas.
After that: A small 3 hours bus trip from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales. Nothing compared to the bus trips in the north and south of over 12 hours :D
And with exchange students in the bus it never gets boring :P
Lars and Gabi singing in the bus :D
At the hotel in Puerto Natales we left some stuff we wouldn´t need during the next days and shared the food for the groups for the next few days.
A small group foto before leaving again with bus in direccion Torres del Paine.
A small stop over at a nice place to take some fotos.
Another group foto. This time the whole group !!
A group of some kind of llamas called Huanacos. The really weren´t shy and let us come really close as you can see.
Ernesto, our loved chairman, and me.
2 Canadians and 2 Americans in front of the lake and the mountains.
Those are we on the hill !! ^^
The enormous mountain !!
The little beach =)
Some Germans cooking tea in the evening :D
Spooning keeps you warm =D
Cinti trying to learn how to play the guitar *gg*
Ben happily sleeping in the hammock. ^^
Finally a nice pic of the famous Torres del Paine.
Our chairman Ernesto in his hiking outfit :D
Beautiful mountains !!
The line of exchange students hiking through the national park.
But sometimes a small rest is necessary. =)
Found nice spot for a foto :D
And a even nicer one !! With another awesome mountain in the background.
Carolyn´s fully packed hiking pack.
Incredible nice blue lake !!!
And some more nice landscape.
Gringas posing !!
That´s the way we cooked: with a gas cooker and a small pot.
Carolyn´s shoe got stuck in the mud xD
Cliffy trails but amazing landscape !!
A small camp fire on the beach spents us light and keeps us warm in the night.
The next day: Worse weather with some rain, but still a lot of fun and on the exhausting trails you don´t feel the cold.
Another rest after climbing a higher spot. That was exhausting !!!
Dancing limbo =))
Ernesto and the other Counselor Lyliam teaching us how to dance.
But we liked it better to dance our own styles !! :D
Happy while dancing
Next day a trip closer to the ice. Acompanied by a lot of wind and snow as you can see !!
And finally we reached some ice !! It looked wonderful.
Some impressive rocks...
...and even more impressive waterfalls !!
Again Gringas and Canadians ^^
Wow, awesome waterfall :D
There on the way back to the City or bus ran out of petrol xD hahah. That´s Chile ;)
Another bus had to come and pick us up.
Vicho and Gabi making some music.
The whole group again in front of the famous statue in the center of Punta Arenas.
If you kiss the statue´s toe you have to come back to Punta Arenas one day !!
The colored houses of Punta Arenas.
Each of those signs points to a city anywhere in the world with its name and the distance to the city on the sign.
That´s Manila, the capital of the Philippines !! Filipinos own !! xD
More signs !! At the country with the most signs showing to ? Germany of course :D There 4 signs to Germany: Hamburg, Erlangen, Münster and Schönstatt.
Those cool trees can be found... on the graveyard of Punta Arenas :D
Exchange students hiding behind the trees =) can you find me ?? :P
Time to say goodbye to Jody whose hostfamily lives in Punta Arenas
:(
And the flight back....
Some beautiful mountains !!
And even a rainbow.
On the way back from the Airport to the center of Santiago we tried to fit about 20 people with luggage and backpacks and stuff into a small van for about 8 people :D heheh. That´s Chile again ;)
